How do I delete my account?

Important Notice

Deleting your Aleza Credit account is a permanent action and cannot be undone. If you delete your account, you may lose access to all Aleza Credit services in the future.

Once your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to log in to your Aleza Credit app or access any of your account information.

What happens when I delete my account?

When you request account deletion, the following will occur:

  • Your access to the Aleza Credit app will be permanently revoked
  • Your personal profile and preferences will be removed from active systems
  • You will no longer receive communications from Aleza Credit
  • Any pending applications or transactions may be cancelled

Data Retention Requirements

Under anti-money laundering regulations and the Kenya Data Protection Act (KDPA), Aleza Credit Limited is required to retain customer information for at least seven (7) years.

Notwithstanding requests for deletion of an Aleza Credit account, we will retain records of customer information until the regulatory retention period has expired. This includes:

  • Customer due diligence and identification records
  • Transaction records and financial history
  • Communication logs related to your account
  • Any documents required for regulatory compliance

Before You Delete Your Account

Please consider the following before proceeding with account deletion:

  • Outstanding Obligations: Ensure all loans and financial obligations are fully settled
  • Pending Transactions: Complete or cancel any pending applications or transactions
  • Alternative Options: Consider temporarily deactivating your account instead of permanent deletion
  • Future Access: Creating a new account in the future may require going through the full registration process again

Processing Time: Account deletion requests are typically processed within 7-14 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your request has been completed.
